Cognivex Labs builds developer-facing SaaS tools for the point where an application has to reach a physical device. Our first product, PrintBase, sends a print job from any application to any printer, anywhere, through a REST API.

We would rather run a small number of products properly than list a catalogue we cannot support. Everything below is software we build and operate ourselves.
PrintBase
LiveCloud print infrastructure for modern applications
PrintBase lets an application send a print job to any physical printer, anywhere, through a REST API. A lightweight agent runs alongside the printer, receives dispatched jobs over an outbound connection, drives the local printer driver, and reports the result back in real time. No public IP, no open firewall ports, no browser print dialog.
REST API
Create print jobs, manage devices and issue API keys through a documented HTTP API. Integration is a single authenticated POST request.
Cross-platform agent
Desktop agents for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel, macOS 11 or later) and Windows (x64 and ARM64), plus headless CLI binaries for servers and automation.
No network surgery
The agent connects outbound to PrintBase, so no printer is exposed to the public internet and no inbound firewall rule or public IP is required.
Real-time job status
Every job reports completed or failed with a reason code over real-time channels and webhooks, so failures are visible immediately rather than at the printer.
Central device management
Register, monitor and orchestrate printers across many sites from one dashboard, including devices sitting behind separate private networks.
Encrypted transport
Job content and control traffic are encrypted in transit between your application, the PrintBase cloud and the agent at the printer.

We operate what we build
We are a product company, not an agency. Every product on this site is software we wrote, host and support ourselves, and we are accountable for it after launch.
Deliberate growth
Cognivex Labs was formed in 2026 and is early by design. We are building a small number of products carefully rather than shipping a wide catalogue we cannot stand behind.
API first, documentation included
Every capability we ship is reachable over a documented REST API with webhooks and real-time status callbacks. If a developer cannot integrate it in an afternoon, it is not finished.
Native clients on macOS and Windows
Reaching a physical device means shipping real software onto real machines. We maintain desktop and headless CLI builds for macOS on Apple Silicon and Intel, and for Windows on x64 and ARM64.
Nothing exposed to the internet
Our agents connect outbound to us. Customers do not open firewall ports, assign public IPs, or put a device on the public internet in order to use our products.
Careful with customer data
Job content and control traffic are encrypted in transit, and we collect only what is needed to route a job and bill for it. How we handle personal data is set out in full in our privacy policy.
About Cognivex Labs
An independent software company
Modern software is very good at moving data between services over an API, and surprisingly bad at the last step where something has to happen in the real world. A warehouse system can calculate a shipping label in milliseconds and then have no reliable way to get it out of a printer forty metres away.
We build the bridge for that last step — an API on one side, a small and well-behaved agent on the other. PrintBase is the first product built that way, and the model extends to every other device an application needs to reach.
